The girlies gave Brandy and Monica’s classic 1998 single, ‘The Boy Is Mine,’ a timely twist. Sy’rai and Krista teamed up to recreate the hit song in honor of the highly anticipated ‘Wicked’ movie, which will be released on Friday, November 22.

Wicked! Sy’rai Smith & Krista Campbell Recreate ‘The Boy Is Mine’
On Wednesday (Nov. 20), 22-year-old Sy’rai Smith and 20-year-old Krista Campbell dropped their own version of ‘The Boy Is Mine’ with a dope video to match. The duo had teased their collab on Instagram with a few posts before the big reveal.
In the video, Krista channels Ariana Grande’s Glinda character from ‘Wicked,’ while Sy’rai takes on the role of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Cynthia Erivo in the movie. Sy’rai and Krista also show up in a dark setting to match the vibe from Brandy and Monica’s 1998 video. Krista rocked a pink dress with feather details on the strap, while Sy’rai went all-in as the Wicked Witch of the West with green body paint and a black dress.

Social media went crazy over Sy’rai and Krista’s remake of ‘The Boy Is Mine.’ Even Sy’rai’s uncle Ray J and Monica jumped in The Shade Room’s comment section to show love to the girls.
