Here’s What Angel Reese Said About Her WNBA Salary
On Wednesday, October 16, Instagram user @livebitez shared footage from a recent livestream of Reese’s. In the clip, the Chicago Sky player said to fans, “I hope y’all know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all.”
“I don’t even think that pays one of my bills,” Reese added. “Literally. I’m trying to think of the rent for where I stay at… Let me do the math… I don’t even know my salary. 74? Okay…”
At that point, one of Reese’s friends took over her calculations. Ultimately, Reese told fans, “I’m living above my means!”
The WNBA baller revealed that her monthly rent is $8,000 and added that her WNBA paycheck doesn’t “pay a thing.” Furthermore, Reese and her friend noted how lucky she is to be in a position to afford her lifestyle through endorsement deals and other means of income.

Angel Reese Previously Addressed Comments About Her WNBA Salary
As The Shade Room previously reported, Reese’s WNBA salary was revealed in April. At the time, On3.com reported that Reese would receive $73,439 for her first season in the league. Then, she would receive over $74,000 annually by 2025 and over $82,000 by 2026.
Furthermore, Reese’s total four-year salary from the WNBA was calculated to equal about $324,000.

The following month, Reese responded to criticism the WNBA received for the salary it extends to its players, per The Shade Room. Ultimately, Reese explained that she views her WNBA salary as a “bonus” to the money she earns from miscellaneous endorsement deals.
Additionally, Reese explained that she was thankful for being able to play the game that she loves, noting that she’s not participating in professional basketball for the money.
