If you’ve never heard of fashion brand Herve Leger, you most definitely have seen it on one of your favorite celebs, or at a nightclub.
The brand is famous for its “bandage” dress that literally hugs every inch of the body.
The managing Director of Herve Leger London, thought it would be a good idea to share his view on what kind of woman shouldn’t wear the brand, in an interview with UK’s The Mail on Sunday.
Well, his opinion went a little something like this, ” women with very prominent hips and a very flat chest” should stay away from the bandage dress.
His body shaming opinions didn’t end there, he also added “if you’re a committed lesbian and you’re wearing trousers all your life , you won’t want to buy a Leger dress.” Damn homie!
Couderc continued his bizarre interview by bringing ageism to the conversation, he suggested older women need not to display everything as if they were in their 20s.
Who knows what possessed him to speak on the brands behalf with his harsh opinions, but whatever it was got him fired with the quickness!
The BCBGMaxAzria Group, parent company of Herve Leger, issued a statement:
“The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand and its parent company, BCBGMAXAZRIA Group, are shocked and appalled by Patrick Couderc’s comments made in The Mail on Sunday. BCBGMAXAZRIA Group is working in concert with MJH Fashion, to investigate and establish appropriate next steps. The statements made by Mr. Couderc are not a reflection of Herve Leger by Max Azria or MJH Fashion ideals or sentiments. The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand celebrates sensuality, glamour and femininity without discrimination.”

[…] Herve Leger Exec Gets The Boot After Saying The Bandage Dress Wasn’t For Lesbians, Voluptuous, or … […]
It’s only a problem because he threw gays in there…it was okay when Tommy Hilfiger said he didn’t want kneegrows wearing his clothes. I’m so over the kissing of gays’ asses.
If he were lying fine, but the dress isn’t made for all body types. Geez. If you got a flat chest, it’ll make it look flatter. If you’re wide in the hip, it’ll make you look wider. I don’t think he was being mean… I think he just failed to phrase his wording better
