More Details On The Charges Against Jalin White
According to Fox 6 Milwaukee, White has been charged with two felony counts. This reportedly includes child abuse with intent to cause great bodily harm and neglecting a child with the consequence of great bodily harm.
Furthermore, White is currently in police custody on a $100,000 bond. Fox 6 Milwaukee notes that the 20-year-old has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday, November 15.
Here’s Why The 20-Year-Old Milwaukee Man Allegedly Threw His 8-Month-Old Infant At The Wall
According to the outlet, White confessed his actions to authorities on November 6 after his arrest. Per The Independent, the infant’s mother took the child to the hospital after finding the baby “severely injured” in his playpen. Before this, the mother allegedly left the infant with White to watch over him.
Subsequently, White told police his 8-month-old son had fallen from an air mattress to a carpeted floor. Additionally, White alleged that this occurred while he was changing the baby’s diaper. However, police relayed to White that the infant’s injuries were inconsistent with his claim.
Per PEOPLE, White later confessed to “angrily throwing his son against a wall” because he was “frustrated” while playing an NBA 2K video game. Furthermore, White was allegedly upset about trailing behind in the game by two points.
“He hit his head hard on the wall, bro. I swear he hit his head hard on the wall… I heard the wall, it was hard on his head. It was hard. It was a loud hard wall,” White reportedly told authorities per Fox 6 Milwaukee. “I heard the impact of the wall after I tossed him.”
According to Fox 6 Milwaukee, once the child was taken to a hospital, officials discovered “other injuries in different stages of healing, possibly indicating that he had been abused at different periods of time.” In addition to having a skull fracture, the child also appeared to have “six total posterior rib fractures.” Per PEOPLE, authorities also discovered that the infant had a swollen eye, “injuries on his hands and legs,” and a broken collarbone.
Furthermore, the outlet reports that “the child is not expected to live.” Therefore, if the infant succumbs to his injuries, White’s charges are “expected to be updated to include homicide.” Per PEOPLE, it remains unclear how the 20-year-old had pled to his charges.

A Mother In Florida Is Now Behind Bars For Her Alleged Actions Toward Her Kids
Jalin White isn’t the only parent to be charged in recent months for their alleged actions against their child. As The Shade Room previously reported, in August, Esther Thelus, a mother in Florida, set herself, her two-year-old son, and her infant son on fire.
Furthermore, the incident reportedly stemmed from a child custody disagreement.
