Bishop T.D. Jakes has opened up about his recent medical emergency in a video message to his congregation.

Here’s What Bishop T.D. Jakes Revealed About His Recent Medical Emergency
Earlier this week, The Shade Room reposted footage from a recent video message Jakes shared with his congregation. In the clip, the bishop explained that he’s “grateful” for this “season” in his life.
“…I am grateful to God for his goodness and his mercy and his grace,” he said. “if you don’t realize that you’re looking at a miracle…”
At that point, the bishop went on to say that he “faced a life-threatening calamity” and was “rushed to the ICU unit.”
“I had emergency surgery… survived the surgery… Yeah, I’m back,” he stated.
Before concluding, Bishop Jakes explained that his doctors instructed him to take his recovery slow. Ultimately, the bishop shared a message about the importance of taking care of oneself amid a busy schedule.

Afterward, the church issued a statement asserting that he received “immediate medical attention.”
Then, earlier this week, the bishop shared an emotional message while being wheeled out of what appeared to be a medical facility.
