Roommates, by now, you likely know that Lil Scrappy entered the holiday season as a father of five. His son, Kyrie Richardson, was born to Shakira on November 23. Both parents have already shared sweet posts about their baby boy. Most recently, though, Scrappy had to check internet trolls speaking negatively about his new fatherhood chapter and Kyrie. And Momma Dee wasted no time publicly standing behind her son!
A Recap Of What Lil Scrappy Said To Trolls
In a video reposted by Live Bitez on December 4, Lil Scrappy directs his message at people who make “negative comments” about Kyrie or him having a baby as “a single man.” He called the trolling “pretty dumb.”
“That’s ignorant as f**k,” Lil Scrappy said. “I be like, ‘You can’t get mad at ’em cause they probably not happy with their life. I’m happy with mine. I’m good. Any baby that come in this world from [me] gon be taken care of. Imma love on them, just like it’s supposed to be done.”
The rapper then threw a lil’ shade at the people spewing negativity. “I’m sorry your momma and daddy weren’t there for you like I be there for mine,” he said. Scrappy added that he doesn’t play with life. See everything he said below.
Momma Dee Stands Behind Her Son
Momma Dee slid into the comment section after The Shade Room reposted Scrappy’s video message. She doubled down on her son’s message and threw a lil’ shade about double standards.
“You know what stop being critical on my son because you got a lot of women got different kids by different men and you ain’t open your mouth then. So if I were y’all I will stay the hell out of his business,” Momma Dee wrote.
It doesn’t appear that Dee commented more about her new grandson’s birth. It’s also unclear whether Momma has welcomed Shakira into her “kingdom.” ‘Love & Hip Hop ATL’ fans might recall how much pushback Momma Dee gave Erica Dixon and Bambi about welcoming them into the family. For context, Scrap co-parents three kids with his ex-wife Bam. He also co-parents his eldest, Emani, who is now in college, with Erica Dixon.
As mentioned, Shakira was the first to announce the birth of Kyrie Richardson on November 30. Their little one was born a week prior in the early morning and weighed seven pounds. Shakira revealed that her delivery was smooth and lasted six minutes.
Meanwhile, Scrappy’s first Instagram post after his son’s birth expressed gratitude. He also pledged that Kyrie and Shakira would receive his love and support “no matter what the negatives say.” Aside from Bambi’s alleged children’s book, she and Erica Dixon have yet to publicly comment on Kyrie joining their blended families.
