Luigi Mangione became a household name this week after being charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO. As previously reported, a masked man fatally shot Brian Thompson outside of a New York City Hotel on December 4.

Turns out, the NYPD and prosecutors have collected enough evidence to name Luigi as the masked suspect who used an e-bike to escape the crime scene. He has since been charged with Brian Thompson’s murder. On Tuesday (December 10), new mugshot photos surfaced of the accused.

Evidence Police Used To Bag Luigi Mangione (Updates)

Police in Pennsylvania arrested Luigi Mangione at a McDonald’s on December 9. Luigi was at the fast food joint looking at a laptop while wearing a blue medical mask. Altoona law enforcement pulled up after a tip from an employee. Police later found a mask, a 3D-printed 9mm round ghost gun, and a 3D-printed black silencer for the weapon in his backpack, as well as lots of cash. Then, there was a three-page letter about his dislike for corporate America.

“I do apologize for any strife or traumas but it had to be done. Frankly, these parasites simply had it coming,” one line in the letter reportedly read.

Additionally, the 26-year-old had on similar clothes as the at-large masked shooter and multiple fake IDs, including one traced to the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s attacker. He was officially in custody at about 9:15 a.m. Monday morning.

As previously reported, Luigi Mangione also left a trail of evidence for NYPD officers to discover. A backpack ditched in Central Park. A cell phone ditched at a pedestrian plaza. A water bottle and protein bar wrapper from the Starbucks pit stop he made before allegedly shooting Brian Thompson. The bullets used in the attack had the words “Deny,” “Defend,” and “Depose” engraved.

According to NBC New York, investigators have also linked Luigi Mangione’s fingerprints to some found near the crime scene. However, it’s unclear which items contain the fingerprints.

According to TMZ, the court docs claim Jane Doe was 13 at the time of the alleged assault.

1. Lawsuit Says Sexual Assault Happened In 2000

As mentioned, the woman at the center of the lawsuit is suing anonymously. According to NBC News, she first filed the lawsuit in the Southern District of New York in October and only named Diddy. That changed on Sunday with a refile that now includes Jay-Z. She is seeking unspecified damages. 

Jane Doe’s lawsuit explains that the assault happened after a friend dropped her off at Radio City Music Hall for the MTV Video Music Awards. She did not have a ticket for the show but tried to find her way inside the venue or to an afterparty by approaching different limousines. Ultimately, a driver of one invited her to an afterparty allegedly said Jane Doe “fit what Diddy was looking for” and instructed her to return for pick-up later in the night.

After a 20-minute ride, the lawsuit claims Jane Doe arrived at the house. Before entering, she reportedly signed a document, which she now believes was an NDA, and did not get a copy. Upon entering, the then 13-year-old saw guests, including celebrities, using cocaine and marijuana. At one point, she took an offered drink that allegedly made her feel “woozy, lightheaded” and went into a room to lie down.

While in there, the woman claims Diddy entered the room with Jay-Z and said, “You are ready to party.” The lawsuit claims Jay removed her clothes, held her down, and raped her while Combs and a female celebrity watched. Afterward, Combs did the same while Jay and the woman observed. She allegedly stopped Diddy from forcing her to perform oral sexual assault by hitting him in the neck. After the incident, Jane Doe says she grabbed her clothes, left the party, and found her way to a gas station to call her dad.

2. Jay-Z Pops OFF On Woman’s Lawyer Tony Buzbee

Within hours of the lawsuit reaching the internet, Jay-Z cleared the air via a lengthy statement. The New York City icon questioned Tony’s credibility, declared his innocence,e and expressed hurt for his wife, Beyoncé, and their three kids. Jay began his statement by alleging that his lawyer received a “blackmail attempt” in the form of a demand letter.

“What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No, sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Police Arrest Potential Suspect In UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Death (PHOTO)

In a report from the Associated Press, the NYPD announced the arrest of a suspect being investigated for Brian’s murder. Law enforcement in Pennsylvania arrested a 26-year-old man at a McDonald’s in Altoona. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch and NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny crossed a couple of Ts at a news conference on Monday.

An employee called the police on the man for having a gun and writings about his hate for corporate America. The writings reportedly reveal “motivation and mindset,” Tisch stated. Altoona police said the man was acting suspiciously during questioning.

After the arrest, the gun police found on the man appears an at-home project made from parts called a ghost gun. That means no serial number and a tough trace. said Altoona police believe the gun was made in a 3D printer and capable of firing a 9mm round. Arresting officers also found a suppressor “consistent with the weapon used in the murder.”

Also, Luigi had on similar clothes as the masked shooter. He also had a mask AND multiple fake IDs, including one that matched an ID the shooter used to check in at a hotel in NYC before the shooting.

Other evidence collected by the police include he backpack in Central Park, cell phone in a plaza, a water bottle and a protein bar wrapper from Starbucks.

What Happens Next For Luigi Nicholas Mangione? 

At this time, Luigi Nicholas Mangione remains in custody in Pennsylvania for gun charges. However, he’s expected to be extradited to NYC in connection to the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s case. In the meantime, NYPD detectives were en route to formally interview Luigi in Altoona, per the conference.

In the meantime, with Luigi’s identity out there, more details are surfacing about his life. Luigi Nicholas Mangione was born and raised in Maryland. He previously had ties to San Franciso and Honolulu, Hawaii.

NYPD Previously Shared Photos Of Masked Suspect

The incident occurred on a midtown Manhattan sidewalk in New York City, per the Associated Press. NYPD is still investigating the shooting and now believes Brian Thompson was “targeted.” A masked suspect has not been identified, but on Wednesday, cops released a photo of the assailant pointing the gun and fleeing the scene.

At the time of the shooting, around 6:45 a.m., the CEO was entering the Hilton Midtown Hotel for UnitedHealthcare’s annual investor conference, per the New York Times. Thompson was alone when the masked suspect shot him in the back. Surveillance video reportedly shows the 50-year-old stumbling after the first shot and turning around to face the masked suspect. Footage allegedly shows the gun briefly jamming before the suspect clears it and resumes shooting. The suspect used a silencer to mask the sound.

Images from Starbucks reportedly show a white man in a dark, hooded coat with a dark mask covering half of his face. The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the masked suspect’s arrest.

On Thursday, the NYPD released additional photos of the suspect unmasked. He fits the initial description above.

More Details About Shooting & Bullets Used

According to the New York Police Department, the UnitedHealthcare CEO did not have a security detail. Right before the assailant escaped, Brian Thompson collapsed to the sidewalk. The suspect fled on foot before pedaling an e-Citi Bike into Central Park a few blocks away. Thompson sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and leg.

Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny confirmed the investigators are still investigating the case. In the hours after the fatal shooting, cops have been sweeping the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s social media accounts and interviewing employees and family members. However, Chief Kenny said that, so far, Brian Thompson doesn’t “seem like he had any issues at all.” 

Meanwhile, NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch shared that the attacker had waited for Brian to arrive, ignoring others strolling past. Tisch labeled it a “premeditated, preplanned, targeted attack.” A source revealed to the NYT that the suspect had visited a nearby Starbucks before the shooting. Police grabbed “forensic evidence” from the coffee shop, and picked up a disposed cell phone from the alley with alleged “investigative value” in it. Additional evidence reviewed by The Times indicates the attacker had arrived in the area at least 10 minutes before killing Thompson.

In another update, the Associated Press reports that investigators are still trying to determine a motive. However, the recovered ammunition from the shooting seems to be pointing that way. Three bullets were each marked with the words “Deny,” “Defend,” and “Depose.” AP reports that insurance companies use the phrase as a strategy to swerve in making claim payments, and that’s what the words might be referencing. Cops also recovered the 9mm shell casings from the crime scene.

What To Know About The Late UnitedHealthcare CEO

According to the NYT, UnitedHealthcare issued a statement saying it was “deeply saddened and shocked” by the death of its CEO. “Our hearts go out to Brian’s family and all who were close to him,” the statement said.

Brian Thompson lived in a Minneapolis suburb and was the father of two high school students. The 50-year-old had worked at UnitedHealth Group Inc. for 20 years. He has been running its insurance branch since 2021 after leading its Medicare and retirement business. Thompson was one of the company’s highest-paid executives. His $10.2 million annual pay included his salary, bonus, and stock options awards.

AP reports that UnitedHealthcare provides health coverage to more than 49 million Americans. It is the largest provider of Medicare Advantage plans, sells individual insurance, and administers health insurance coverage for thousands of employers and state- and federally funded Medicaid programs. Last year, under Brian Thompson’s leadership, the company brought in $281 billion in revenue.

President-elect Donald Trump won’t face sentencing this month in his hush-money case. Instead, a judge ruled on Friday (Nov. 22) to delay the post-conviction proceedings. Now, the judge requires that prosecutors and Trump’s legal team meet to discuss the consequences of his 34 charges, per the Associated Press.

Details On Judge’s Sentencing Ruling For Donald Trump

For context, a jury convicted the Republican president-elect in May of falsifying his business records to disguise the true nature of payments sent to porn actor Stormy Daniels. She ultimately collected $130,000 from Donald to keep quiet about an alleged sexual encounter they had more than a decade ago. He was married at the time of their alleged act. Trump’s former lawyer allegedly made the series of payments in the days leading up to the end of the 2016 presidential election.

Despite maintaining his innocence, Trump was set to be sentenced on Nov. 26. However, with his presidential election run and subsequential win, there were questions about whether that date would stand. Judge Juan M. Merchan’s order on Friday put the questions to test. Additionally, Merchan has not set a new sentencing date yet. He called for more filing from both sides over the next 2.5 weeks about how to proceed in light of Trump’s January 2025 return to the White House.

Trump’s Legal Team & Prosecutors Are On Opposite Pages

Meanwhile, Trump’s lawyers want the case totally dismissed immediately. Otherwise, the conviction could interfere with his presidential preparations and transition. Trump spokesperson and incoming White House communications director Steven Cheung called Friday’s ruling “a decisive win” for Trump.

However, prosecutors have rejected the idea of a complete dismissal. They have reportedly suggested they’re willing to hold the case until his election term is over. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, has said the solution needs to balance presidential obligations with “the sanctity of the jury verdict.” Bragg’s office declined to comment on Friday’s ruling to AP.

However, she seemingly tried to swerve the incident by telling the arresting officers that she was “happily engaged and expecting a baby.” About a month after the CityWalk incident, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office dropped the misdemeanor charges against her. Clearly, her new baby bump photos confirm that she was truthful about the pregnancy. But it’s unclear if she is actually engaged to her boyfriend and how involved he will be with their little one.

Hours after confirming her pregnancy, Skai Jackson (and her mother) defended the daddy-to-be after a message dissing Skai appeared on his Facebook page.

“On wopp I’m salty I got this dumb a*s Disney Channel b***h pregnant. I hate this h*e,” the post on @Yerkky Yerkky’s page read.

The post has since been deleted, but Skai took to an Instagram comment section to clear up the confusion. “His page was hacked! He never said this. End of story,” Jackson wrote. Meanwhile, in the same comment section, her mom wrote, “HE NEVER SAID THIS!!! Stop being messy.”

Biden delivered his remarks from the Rose Garden and began by acknowledging America’s self-government system. He then confirmed his reported phone call to President-elect Trump and revealed that he assured Donald there will be a “peaceful and orderly transition.”

Biden echoed a key message in Kamala Harris’ concession speech. On Wednesday (Nov. 6), while speaking from Howard University, Harris emphasized the importance of a peaceful transfer of power. In his speech on Thursday, President Joe Biden also assured Americans his administration will peacefully transition out. “That’s what the American people deserve,” Biden stated.

“Yesterday, I also spoke with Vice President Harris; she’s been a partner, a public servant. She ran an aspiring campaign, and everyone got to see something that I learned early on to respect so much her character,” Biden said, calling Kamala’s character “great” and “true.”

President Joe Biden added that Harris and her team should be proud of the campaign they ran. He then explained that the fight for America’s soul has been on ongoing struggle from the country’s start. Biden acknowledged that the presidential election is a “time for victory” for some. But, he urged those who are feeling defeated to accept “the choice the country made.”

“I’ve said this many times, you can’t love your country only when you win. You can’t love your neighbor only when you agree. Something I hope we can do, no matter who you voted for, is see each other not as adversaries but as fellow Americans. Bring down the temperature.”

Additionally, President Joe Biden clarified the “integrity” of the American voting system. “It is honest, it is fair, it is transparent, and it can be trusted. Win or lose,” Biden said.

President Biden Praises Kamala Harris Campaign Run

In her concession speech on Nov. 6, Harris spoke about feeling proud of her campaign run, which lasted 108 days. Biden reportedly watched his vice president concede from the White House’s West Wing, per AP News. However, after Kamala wrapped her speech on Howard University’s campus, Biden released a statement praising his White House partner.

“What America saw today was the Kamala Harris I know and deeply admire. She’s been a tremendous partner and public servant full of integrity, courage, and character. Under extraordinary circumstances, she stepped up and led a historic campaign that embodied what’s possible when guided by a strong moral compass and a clear vision for a nation that is more free, more just, and full of more opportunities for all Americans,” Biden wrote in his statement.

As previously reported, Biden dropped out of the presidential race on July 21. Shortly after, he endorsed his vice president. She reacted by swiftly unifying the Democratic Party around her candidacy — though Democrats did not have the opportunity to vote for her in the primaries.

“As I’ve said before, selecting Kamala was the very first decision I made when I became the nominee for president in 2020. It was the best decision I made. A senior adviser to Vice President Harris confirmed to AP News that she called President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him. Donald Trump Speaks Out As Voting Comes To An End

The 2024 presidential election wrapped up early on Wednesday, November 6th, when Donald Trump secured the presidency following wins in key battleground states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, per Fox News. After speculation that vote counts might extend, multiple networks called the race for Trump. In his victory speech in Florida, Trump pledged to usher in what he called the “golden age of America.”
