Young Thug seemingly wants the crew back together. The rapper’s X (formerly Twitter) account recently shared a message encouraging Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin to squash the beef. After Future’s account reposted the message, fans wonder whether he consigned a reconciliation.

Here’s Why The Internet Is Talking About Young Thug, Future, & Drake
Note that it’s unclear if Young Thug wrote the tweet or whether he has access to social media during his ongoing RICO trial. Additionally, Future hasn’t offered any further context to the retweet. However, the message from Thugger’s account was crystal clear about the collaborators linking back up.
“@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we all bruddas. Music ain’t the same without us collabin,” the post said.

Within 17 hours of Young Thug’s account sharing the message on Oct. 18, Future reposted it on his page. However, he has not shared it on any other social platforms.

It’s unclear what led to Future and Metro’s fall-out with Drake, but they brought it to the public eye with the song ‘Like That’ on their collab album. Fans were sure the producer and ‘Life Is Good’ rapper were throwing shots at Drake when they let Kendrick Lamar throw his rocks at Drizzy and J. Cole on the track.
In a recently released song, Cole explained why he ultimately stayed out of the Drake and Kendrick beef. At first, he clapped back to ‘Like That’ with ‘7-Minute Drill,’ but two days after its release, he apologized and pulled the record from streaming platforms.

Metro, the chef behind the viral ‘BBL Drizzy beat,’ has not retweeted it or reacted on other personal platforms. In March, Metro replied to a tweet speculating that Drake and Future’s beef was over a woman. “Stop making stuff up,” he wrote.
Yall niggas stop making stuff up for engagement and enjoy the music

Where Is Kendrick Lamar In All This?
The one person Thugger’s post didn’t include, and who Future also didn’t mention, was Kendrick Lamar. K. Dot is the rapper who dug his “size seven men’s” into Drizzy’s neck.
After a series of back-and-forth disses earlier this year, Lamar stood victor in the public majority with ‘Not Like Us,’ a record that went crazy all summer and continues to get airtime. Not to mention, Kendrick is booked to pop out at the Super Bowl as the Halftime Show’s headliner.

Kendrick has kept the details of his upcoming performance private, even as fans and celebrities spoke out over Lil Wayne’s being passed over for the gig. Wayne shared his disappointment, too, but still, there is no word from Dot on whether he plans to tap his enemy’s mentor for a guest performance—the same way Dr. Dre tapped him in 2022. You also have to consider that Wayne did double down on his support for Drake amid his and Kenny’s beef.
However, Young Thug leaving Kendrick out of the post is likely a welcomed exclusion. Kendrick has already asserted that it’s too late for reconciliation. In a song released in September, Kendrick rapped:
“I think it’s time to watch the party die. This sh*t got too wicked to apologize. It’s different, get him whacked and disqualified. We even kill the killers ’cause they like taking innocent lives. Burn a whole village, we start over, it’s really that time. Why reason with these n***** if they can’t see the future first.”
Young Thug’s message also came one day before 21 Savage’s ‘2008-2013’ era birthday party on Oct. 19. A week ago, 21 shared a promotional post about the party. Drake slid in the comment section, writing, “So specific can we get reference pics?”
